Basic Strategies for Body MRI: Pulse Sequence
نویسنده
چکیده
The abdomen and pelvis present an ensemble of problems for MR imaging. 1. There is a problem of contrast; there are an almost infinite variety of disease processes that can occur in the abdomen/pelvis, and no one sequence is ideal for all. 2. There is the problem of signal-to-noise and coverage; evaluation of the abdomen/pelvis often requires a large field-of-view 3. There are problems with complex motion arising from the heart, the vascular structures, breathing, and peristalsis.

The Optimization of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Pulse Sequences in Order to Better Detection of Multiple Sclerosis Plaques
Background and objective: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most sensitive technique to detect multiple sclerosis (MS) plaques in central nervous system. In some cases, the patients who were suspected to MS, Whereas MRI images are normal, but whether patients don’t have MS plaques or MRI images are not enough optimized enough in order to show MS plaques? The aim of the current study is ...
متن کاملNon-invasive quantification of liver fat content by different Gradient Echo MRI sequences in patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
Introduction: Non-invasive quantification of liver fat by Gradient echo (GRE) Technique is an interesting issue in quantitative MRI. Despite the numerous advantages of this technique, fat measurement maybe biased by confounding and effects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the GRE pulse sequences with different and weighting for liver fat quantification in patients with...
متن کاملI-45: Advance MRI Sequences in Pelvic Endometriosis
Background: To assess MRI in diagnosing endometriotic lesions, emphasizing T2*weighted imaging efficacy. Materials and Methods: This prospective study of 48 females (22-38 years, average 29.6) clinically suspected of endometriosis from September 2009 to April 2012. MRI was performed with a 1.5 T imager (Siemens) with a body array coil. T1, T2 and T2* weighted (2D-FLASH) sequences were obtained ...
متن کاملParallel Imaging for Body Mri: Clinical Perspective
Image acquisition speed is a crucial consideration for body applications of MRI. Minimizing the duration of breath holds is a universal goal of optimized thoracic and abdominal MR imaging. Shorter acquisitions allow for newer approaches towards contrast administration with the prospect that tighter bolus administrations may yield improved detection and characterization of pathologies. The faste...
متن کاملNon-uniformity of Clinical Head, Head and Neck, and Body Coils in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Introduction Signal intensity uniformity in a magnetic resonance (MR) image indicates how well the MR imaging (MRI) system represents an object. One of the major sources of image non-uniformity in high-field MRI scanners is inhomogeneity of radio-frequency coil. The aim of this study was to investigate non-uniformity in head, head and neck, and body coils and compare the obtained results to det...
